Panthertown Backcountry Loop

Of the many trails in this area, this route provides the most bang for your buck. This route offers breathtaking views of waterfalls, abundant streams, and vast vistas. Located just outside of Brevard, NC, the Panthertown Valley is known as the "Yosemite of the East." The valley has a wide range of trails with varying levels of difficulty. You can explore many waterfalls and high vantage points to get a view of the valley floor.

The original trail is 7.8 miles with with an elevation gain of about 1000ft.
We may divert to close by waterfalls depending on how folks are doing and time. Please bring your own water and snacks we will try to take a break halfway through.

I am willing to carpool from the Walmart parking lot at the entrance to Pisgah Forest if you let me know ahead of time.

The trail is dog friendly. Please just keep them on a leash.
