Hello fellow Animators and Designers!
Apologies for the delay in scheduling a gathering, it has been a heck of a roller coaster ride since last year with all that is going on in both the World and locally.
That being said, let's get a gathering set up and dive into some creativity!
For our first MeetUp for 2026, let's kickoff by reviewing some demo reels/portfolios, concepts, finished/unfinished work, it doesn't matter, let's just gather and chat.
Getting ready to land your first job, or thinking about your next move? A standout demo reel or portfolio can make all the difference. Come hang out with us for a relaxed, interactive session where we’ll watch reels, share work, and talk through what makes them pop while dining on some pizza. You’ll get real, constructive feedback on how to show off your skills and personality. No reel yet? No problem—come anyway, meet new people, dine with us and get inspired.
We know putting a reel or portfolio together can feel overwhelming. How long should it be? What actually grabs a recruiter’s attention? Whether you’re leveling up where you are or exploring something new, this is a great time to sharpen your work and get noticed. If you’re on the hiring side, it’s also a chance to check out fresh, creative talent. Location still TBD (a lot depending on how many will attend - so please rsvp if you will be coming), but will be in Weaverville somewhere.
