Sunday Morning Hike: Pine Tree Loop

Come explore one of many trails in the Bent Creek Experimental Forest, just minutes from the Tanger Outlets in Asheville! Here is some information to know about the trail:

Trail length: 3.2 miles
Elevation gain: 383 feet
Dog-friendly? Yes
Wheelchair accessible? No
Recommended supplies: Water, sturdy shoes (sneakers or boots), hiking poles (if desired)
Bathrooms: There is a single-stall restroom at the trailhead.
Parking/Carpooling: Parking is limited at the trailhead (375 Wesley Branch Road), although it is typically not too bad earlier in the morning. However, please note that cell service at the trailhead is poor! If you would like to carpool, we will gather in the parking lot of the Ingles at 863 Brevard Road in Asheville (about 10 minutes from the trailhead). We will depart from Ingles at 8:45 in order to be at the trail just before 9. We will start the trail promptly at 9:10, so please strive to be on time!
