Come check out the Black Mountain College Museum and Arts Center, somewhat confusingly actually located in downtown Asheville! Here is a description of the museum from their website:

"Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center (BMCM+AC) celebrates the history and legacy of Black Mountain College, an experiment in community and arts-centered education near Black Mountain, NC, open from 1933 until 1957. We offer historic and contemporary exhibitions, dynamic events, and research opportunities for those interested in any and all aspects of Black Mountain College (BMC). Admission is free with suggested donation. We look forward to your visit!"
