Hardtimes Loop: "Virtues I Admire or Want to Acquire!"
Details
This lollipop jaunt starts at the Hard Times Road Trailhead on Wesley Branch Road in Bent Creek. It follows the Hard Times Road and then the South Ridge Road and then the Small Creek Trail connector to the Homestead Trail, skirting around one edge of Lake Powhatan and along Bent Creek. The distance is 3.5 miles and elevation gain a very mild 325 feet. We'll leave by 12:40... parking can be tight, so plan to arrive in time to find a spot or walk down the road a bit.
The weather on Tuesday looks great - high of 68 & sunny.
The topic of the day is virtues ... human character and spiritual characteristics ... why they are important, which ones we respect in others and want to further develop in ourselves.
Amongst the Baha'i Teachings is that every person has so much potential and ability to develop in themselves and to offer in service to others.
Consider this teaching:
"Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit there from."
