Are you learning Spanish or English and looking for people to practice with?
For most adult learners, practicing their target language is the scariest part—but it’s also one of the most important parts of language acquisition. Learning a language without practicing it is like learning to read music without ever picking up an instrument.
The goal of this group is to create a safe, welcoming space where native English speakers and native Spanish speakers can come together to practice their target language, encourage one another, and build a supportive, bilingual community. Your level does not matter—everyone is welcome!
A little about me: I’m a native English speaker and Asheville native. I began learning Spanish 21 years ago and have been teaching and tutoring languages since 2011. I’m passionate about helping people succeed in their language-learning journeys because multilingualism opens the door to so many opportunities—the most meaningful of which is connection and friendship.

Para la mayoría de los adultos, practicar su idioma objetivo es la parte más intimidante, pero también es una de las más importantes en la adquisición de un idioma. Aprender un idioma sin practicarlo es como aprender a leer música sin nunca tomar un instrumento.
El objetivo de este grupo es crear un espacio seguro y acogedor donde hablantes nativos de inglés y hablantes nativos de español puedan reunirse para practicar su idioma objetivo, apoyarse mutuamente y construir una comunidad bilingüe, solidaria y amistosa. No importa tu nivel: ¡todas las personas son bienvenidas!
Un poco sobre mí: soy hablante nativa de inglés y soy de Asheville. Comencé a aprender español hace 21 años y he estado enseñando y dando tutorías de idiomas desde 2011. Me apasiona ayudar a las personas a tener éxito en su camino de aprendizaje de idiomas, porque el multilingüismo abre la puerta a muchas oportunidades, siendo la más importante la amistad y la conexión humana.
