Laurel Creek Hike

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ABOUT WHERE WE MEET AND DO NOT DEPEND UPON GPS. AS YOU ARE DRIVING TOWARD HOT SPRINGS, YOU WILL GO DOWN A FAIRLY STEEP GRADE AND THERE WILL BE A BIG PARKING LOT ON THE LEFT BEFORE THE LEFT TURN TO GO TO HOT SPRINGS. THIS IS WHERE WE MEET.

We'll meet at the trailhead parking area right off the road to Hot Springs at 8:50 and plan to leave the parking area no later than 9 a.m.
We'll walk in and out, approximate 7 miles RT. We hike at a good pace (about 2.7 per hour) with one break half way through. Well behaved dogs allowed. Bring a snack or lunch. We'll stop by the French Broad River 1/2 way through. We'll be finished with the hike around 11:30-noon.
