Asheville Tourists Opening Week — Ballpark Hangout
Details
Catch an Asheville Tourists game during opening week!
The Tourists are back for the 2026 season (home opener is April 21!), and we're grabbing a group to head out to McCormick Field for a fun, low-key Thursday night. Whether you're a baseball fan or just want to hang out outdoors with a beer and good company, this is your kind of evening.
The Plan:
• Meet at the main entrance at 6:00 PM
• Grab seats together (GA lawn or stands — your call)
• Enjoy the game, the food trucks, and the mountain views beyond the outfield
• Stick around after for the post-game vibe
What to Know:
• Tickets range from about $12-35 depending on seating — buy your own at the gate or online ahead of time
• No outside food or drinks are allowed in the ballpark, but there are great concessions inside
• The ballpark has an awesome local craft beer selection (Hi-Wire, Wicked Weed, Highland, and more)
• Free parking is available in the lots near the ballpark — arrive a bit early to snag a spot
Why This Event:
There's something about minor league baseball that just feels right — it's casual, fun, and a great excuse to be outside on a spring evening. Perfect for meeting new people without any pressure. This is an Asheville Transplants event — open to anyone who's newer to the area and looking to build their circle. Come solo or bring a friend. We'll save you a spot.
Look for the Asheville Transplants sign near the main gate at 6 PM!
