Zillicoah Beer Co. sits right on the eastern bank of the French Broad River in Woodfin, just a couple miles from downtown — open-air, fire pits, and one of the best riverside sunset spots in the area. We'll grab a table outside, watch the light drop over the water, and trade stories about landing in Asheville.
The Plan:
• 6:00 PM — Meet at Zillicoah Beer Co. (870 Riverside Dr, Woodfin). Look for the Asheville Transplants group out by the riverside tables.
• 6:15 PM — Grab a beer (non-alcoholic options too) and settle in along the river.
• 7:45 PM — Sunset over the French Broad. Linger by the fire pits as long as you like.
What to Know:
• Zillicoah is mostly open-air with covered and outdoor seating — dress for the evening weather.
• Food options rotate; check what's on-site that night or eat beforehand. Bringing your own snacks is often fine, but confirm at the bar.
• Free parking on-site. The riverbank can be uneven, so wear comfortable shoes.
