Details

Two indie-rock heavyweights, one brand-new riverside stage — let's catch it together.
Band of Horses and Dinosaur Jr. are playing an evening show at Hellbender, The Orange Peel's new open-air venue on the banks of the Swannanoa River. Band of Horses are marking the 20th anniversary of their debut album Everything All the Time, and Dinosaur Jr. are playing Where You Been in full. It's an all-ages outdoor show — a perfect Transplants night out.
The Plan:
• 6:00 PM — Meet at the Hellbender entrance (doors open at 5:30). Look for the Asheville Transplants crew.
• 7:00 PM — Showtime. We'll find a spot together on the lawn and enjoy the set.
• By 10:00 PM — Show wraps (venue curfew). Say goodnight by the river.
What to Know:
• BUY YOUR OWN TICKET in advance — this show is ticketed. Buy directly at hellbenderavl.com (their official Etix link); tickets aren't sold at the door and third-party resale may not be valid.
• All ages. It's an outdoor, mostly general-admission lawn — dress for the evening weather and bring a layer. Small blankets (about beach-towel size) are allowed.
• No parking at the venue and no street parking nearby. Easiest options: free parking + shuttle from the Asheville Mall, or a rideshare drop-off at 9 Mulvaney St. Reserved paid lots must be booked ahead per show.
• Outside food and drink aren't allowed and there's metal-detector entry, so travel light (small bags only). Grab dinner nearby beforehand.
Why This Event:
Concerts are better with people to go with. Come solo or bring a friend, meet a few fellow transplants before the lights drop, and enjoy a great night on Asheville's newest stage. RSVP and come say hi.
