AYPROS Guided Nature Hike of The North Carolina Arboretum
Details
Join AYPROS for a refreshing Saturday morning hike through one of Asheville’s most beautiful natural spaces. We’ll gather at the North Carolina Arboretum and set out together for a guided walk led by Executive Director Drake Fowler, who will share insights about the Arboretum’s landscape, trails, and mission along the way.
Our group will explore scenic paths at a relaxed, conversational pace, making this a great option for all experience levels. Expect fresh air, spring blooms, and an easygoing morning outdoors with fellow young professionals.
Distance & Difficulty: Approximately 2 miles | Easy to Moderate terrain
The Arboretum has generously waived all entry fees for our group. If you’re able, please consider carpooling to help with parking and traffic flow.
We expect to finish the hike around noon, then head over together to The Arbor Eatery, located in the Arboretum’s Education Center, for lunch and time to hang out.
Perched at the crown of the campus, The Arbor Eatery offers a welcoming café atmosphere with indoor seating, covered patio space, shaded outdoor tables, and garden views. Their menu features handcrafted sandwiches, vibrant salads, handmade quiche, and seasonal specialties made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The bar now offers mixed beverages, beer, wine, coffee, tea, and plenty of non-alcoholic options. Grab a bite, enjoy a drink if you’d like, and keep the conversation going.
