Daniel Ridge loop, non-intensive hike

Details
ok so this posting is in response to the chat thread looking for shorter hikes with less than 3 mph pace and a smaller group. so, testing the waters as it were. i had gotten away from leading hikes a while back due to a few reasons, including the need to rehab a knee.
Daniel Ridge is a great nature immersion hike with portions alongside the west fork of the Davidson River and up towards it's source, and finishes near Tom's lower falls. i REALLY like this section of the forest.
note that this isn't an easy hike, i'd call it moderate with a lower case m, stats are approx 4.7 miles with 810 ft elevation gain. i'm setting this hike at 8 participants. pace will be, say, 2.2-2.5 mph. clockwise approach to the loop
ground rules: 1) if you sign up, show up or change your status 2) be sure you are in adequate physical shape to complete the event 3) show consideration by emphasizing group effort and group cohesion. communication, collaboration, cooperation, that sort of thing. i hike for stress reduction and want to keep it that way lol
about me: retired VA staff physician, easy going but plain spoken, ongoing interest in nutritional/lifestyle medicine etc. nerd, geek, goof. we will stop to pet dogs we may encounter.
will add more to the description in the coming days including the requisite legal disclaimer etc.
plan for the hike to start at 10 so arrive say around 09:50 to allow intros etc.
