Trombatore non-intensive hike

Details
join me for a hike on the beautiful Trombatore trail near Bearwallow Mountain on Saturday, 09 August at 08:50 for a 9 a.m. hike
approx 5 miles, 1220ft elevation gain out and back hike, forest immersion and earlier start time to offset anticipated heat (edit: what heat?). turnaround point is Blue Ridge Pastures, with nice views
continuing the theme of slower pace (2.2-2.5 mph), smaller group.
the location pin on this one looks accurate. note that Bearwallow Mountain Road from Gerton is still largely closed due to ongoing recovery. the only way to the trailhead is the paved route on the Edneyville side
plan for the hike to start at 9 so arrive say around 08:50 to allow intros etc.
gear up as appropriate, trekking poles are an option. bring a snack as we'll take a break mid-hike. and plenty of water!
ground rules: 1) if you sign up, show up or change your status. a no-show may undercut a motivated waitlister. 2 ) be sure you are in adequate physical shape to complete the event. 3) show consideration by emphasizing group effort and group cohesion. communication, collaboration, cooperation, that sort of thing. I hike for stress reduction and want to keep it that way as much as possible
well behaved dogs are welcome!
