Cove Creek / Caney Bottom Loop, 5 miles, 733' elevation gain

Easy to moderate 5 miles hike. We'll walk up forest service road 608 towards the White Pines group campground. Just before the campground we'll pick up the Caney Bottom trail. When we reach the Cove Creek / Caney Bottom intersection we'll stay on Caney Bottom, doing the loop counter clockwise. Follow Caney Bottom to the top of Cove Creek. Come back Cove Creek to Caney Bottom and back to the cars. Depending on time and interest we will take a side trail down to the Cove Creek waterfall before heading out.

Dogs are welcome. I will have my dog with me.

Due to limited parking on FS475, we'll meet at the Pisgah Ranger District Ranger Station and car pool. We'll meet in the middle parking lot.

Meet at 8:45 for a 9:00 sharp departure. If going directly to the trail head please let me know.
