Strawberry Gap

Details
I haven't been on this trail in a while, IIRC the climb starts pretty soon on this stretch of trail, going up to one nice overlook before winding over to the Blue Ridge Pastures with more nice views
5 miles, approx 1100 ft elevation gain. see link below to All Trails
pace of 2 - 2.5 mph
sorry no dogs are allowed on this trail. not sure why the dog-scrimination, it is what it is.
keeping the theme of smaller group, slower pace

per previous hikes:
gear up as appropriate, trekking poles are an option. bring a snack as we'll take a break mid-hike. and plenty of water!
ground rules: 1) if you sign up, show up or change your status. a no-show may undercut a motivated waitlister. 2 ) be sure you are in adequate physical shape to complete the event. 3) show consideration by emphasizing group effort and group cohesion. communication, collaboration, cooperation, that sort of thing. I hike for stress reduction and want to keep it that way as much as possible
