Daniel Ridge / Caney Bottom Loop, approx 8 miles / 1000ft elevation gain

Details
Approximately 8 mile loop (maybe a little less) and around 1,000ft of elevation gain. Most of the elevation gain is in the second mile of the hike.
We'll start the Daniel Ridge trail going clockwise, after about 2.5 miles we'll turn onto Forest Service Rd 225a to FS225 and then down to the Cove Creek trail. We'll turn left on Cove Creek and go over to the Caney Bottom trail. Follow Caney Bottom to the new Old Lanning Ridge trail (used to be a social trail, became an official trail and was redone this year), over to FS 5046 and down to the Daniel Ridge waterfall and back to the parking lot.
Due to limited parking at the trailhead car pooling is recommended. We'll meet at the Pisgah Ranger station parking lot at 8:45 for a 9:00 sharp departure. If you plan on meeting at the trailhead, plan on being there by 9:15 and please let me know.
Dogs are welcome. I will have my dog with me.
