Scenic AVL #9 - Downtown to Windswept from First Baptist Church

Meeting Place: Park in the First Baptist Church parking lot between the church and the YMCA.
Gear: Please bring a flashlight OR headlamp. We will walk through some woods, and it will be dark!!

Rating: Strenuous for Pace and Distance
Surface: Road and some trail
Mileage: about 5.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 750
Pace: 3.0 mph flats, slower on steep climbs. We will stop at the top of Windswept for a short break, and we will finish within 2 hours. We walk at a pretty fast pace, so please be aware of your capabilities.
Features: Downtown points of interest, views from Windswept. The Christmas decorations should be out!
After Eats: Taco Temple
Bears not likely, but we did see one a couple months ago.

• There are generally 1 or 2 no-shows on my hikes, so we don't wait for people to arrive. If you are late, you'll be left behind.
• Notes and comments are genuinely appreciated.
