Rice Pinnacle Parking - Bent Creek Area - Harder Hike

Right now the weather is looking good for a hike on Monday. I plan to do a hike starting from the Rice Pinnacle parking lot appropriate to the trail conditions of the day. I am planing somewhere between 7 and 9 miles and 1000 ft plus of elevation gain. No crazy steep stuff this time although Wolf Knob isn't off the list of possibilities. I will update on Sunday with a more definitive hike. Feel free to jump in or drop off the hike at the last minute. I do have spikes and will still hike if the trails are icy but I will update on Sunday if that is likely the case. As with any winter hike you should be prepared for a variety of trail conditions. I like going fast enough to stay warm this time of year so about 2.7 mph with stops as needed.

I'll watch the weather and post a cancellation message by 7:30 AM if the forecast is >50% chance of precipitation or driving conditions are not safe.
