CANCELED - Hard Times to Grassy Knob to Cove Creek Loop

Canceled due to cold and wind. I will reschedule for next Monday.

DESCRiPTION
A nice hike with some good elevation for Bent Creek. We will start at the Hard Times trailhead and make our way up to Grassy Knob with some fairly steep sections. We will take the MST over to Chestnut Cove Overlook before decending back into Bent Creek and back to the trailhead. As with any winter hike you should be prepared for a variety of trail conditions. I like going fast enough to stay warm this time of year so about 2.5 mph with stops as needed.

SIGNUP
Signup will open Friday at 5pm

CARPOOL
We will meet at the Outlet Mall parking lot behind The Waffle House at 9:30. Please be there in time so we can leave right at 9:45. We will plan to start hiking at 10:00 at the Hard Times trailhead. Parking is limited at the trailhead so best to carpool.

WEATHER
I'll watch the weather and post a cancellation message by 7:30 AM if the forecast is >50% chance of precipitation.
