Coffee Pot Loop - approx 7.5 miles, 1,400' elevation gain

This will be a loop hike, approximately 7.5 miles with about 1,400 feet of elevation gain, mainly on the first half of the hike. Moderate level of difficulty.
We'll meet at the Ingles in Mills River, near the gas pumps. Meet time is 8:45 with a 9:00 sharp departure. If you plan on going directly to the trail head be there no later than 9:15.
The hike starts out going up the Trace Ridge trail for about 3 miles and 1,000' of our total elevation gain. Then head back on the Spencer Branch trail with a break at a small dam. Then continue on Spencer Branch to Forest Service Road 142 for a short road walk back to the cars.
