Pilot Knob from Pisgah Inn - 10 Miles, 3K Ft Gain

• 10 Miles, 3000 Ft elevation gain
• Carpool meeting time is 9:20 at the Asheville Outlets parking lot behind the Waffle House.
• Sign up starts Friday at 5pm

This hike is based on one of my favorite Mark Montgomery hikes but his route is not available due to the continued closure of Yellow Gap Rd. This is the shortest route I could make to Pilot Knob where we will stop for a lunch break and see if the rattlesnakes are still there. It will be one of my tougher hikes but we will take breaks as needed. The major uphill portion will be towards the end of the hike. Please do not sign up unless you are confident you can do the mileage and elevation gain.

There is an opportunity after the hike to sit out on the rocking chairs behind the inn and enjoy a snack/drink from the shop.

CARPOOL
We will meet at the Asheville Outlets behind the Waffle House at 9:20. Please be there ontime so we can leave at 9:30 for the trailhead. Please let me know if you plan to meet us at the Pisgah Inn parking lot and be there by 10:00.
