  • 10 Miles, 3000 Ft elevation gain
  • Carpool meeting time is 9:00 at the Asheville Outlets parking lot behind the Waffle House.
  • Sign up starts Friday at 5pm

This is a nice loop that starts at the Mt Pisgah Overlook by Buck Spring Lodge and goes down Laurel Mtn trail to Slate Rock Creek trail and then out and back to a really nice rock overlook. We will have a snack there before starting back with the main part of the climb towards the end of the hike There is another rock overlook along the way back up where we will briefly stop. We will do a moderate pace of about 2.7 mph but stop for breaks as needed. PLEASE BE IN SHAPE AND CAPABLE OF HIKING THIS DISTANCE AND ELEVATION.

CARPOOL
We will meet at the Asheville Outlets behind the Waffle House at 9:00. Please be there a little early so we can leave at 9:00 for the trailhead. If you plan to meet us at the Buck Spring/Mt Pisgah Overlook, plan to be there by 9:30.

WEATHER
I'll watch the weather and post a cancellation message by 7:00 AM if the forecast is >50% chance of precipitation.
