SOCO Gap to Waterrock Knob - 9 Miles, 2K Ft EG

This hike may seem a bit far away compared to our normal hikes but is only about 40 minutes from the carpool meetup location. It is a nice section of the MST that turns around at the Waterrock Knob Overlook for a total of 9 miles and 2K ft of elevation gain. There is a gradual incline for the majority of the trek up to the overlook. The hike begins from Soco Gap Overlook and stops by Pedestrian Overlook and Waterrock Knob. The views at Waterrock Knob are spectacular, with breathtaking vistas of the Smokey Mountains. This is a standard AllTrails hike with the link below. This is a bit of a longer hike with some decent elevation gain so be prepared for a longer day.
