UPDATED! Cove Creek - Caney Bottom Loop

Hey y’all! Eileen and I have decided to change the location of this hike. As of now, Avery’s Creek is closed for road construction. The closest parking near the trailhead for Twin Falls is over 2 miles. This would add an additional 4 miles of road walking to the original hike. Therefore, we have decided to hike

This hike is 4.5 miles, 540’ elevation gain, and is considered moderate. We can add an extra section that will take us to the bottom of the beautiful Cove Creek Falls. The hike has beautiful Rhododendron canopy ceilings to walk through. There are lots of places to enjoy the beautiful creeks along the way, and two waterfalls to enjoy. There is also a place to view Looking Glass Falls from a distance, but I did not see that today. I’ll try to figure out where that is exactly.

Though there are not a lot of places with heavy roots and rocks, you still need to be sure to wear appropriate footwear for this hike.
