Twin Falls and Clawhammer Falls Hike

Details
Hey y’all! Let’s hike to Twin Falls and Clawhammer Falls in Pisgah Forest. I haven’t done it yet, but Eileen has and she says it’s a great hike.
Let’s meet at the Pisgah Ranger Station at 9:30 sharp and carpool to the parking area at the riding stables. We’ll plan to leave for the riding stables at 9:45
This is a 6.6 mile loop hike, with 853’ elevation gain, considered moderate. There are several stream crossings and potential for a few slick rocky areas. Please bring plenty of water and appropriate footwear for this hike. We are not a fast-paced hiking group.
We will be sharing the trail with mountain bikers so be aware of that.
Dogs are welcome, but per park regulations must remain on leash
As of September 2024, Avery Creek Rd is closed above the riding stables due to the hurricane. The walk from there to the trailhead adds 2 miles to the hike.
After the hike we’ll meet up at Hawg-wild for some good eats and drinks
