BROAD RIVER PADDLE, 11.5 miles, Class I-II

Details
THIS IS A SCOUTING TRIP. We are on our 3rd section of the BROAD RIVER from 221 Bridge to 150 Bridge by Broad River Greenway. I have never paddled this section before, but my Bob Benner's river book describes it much like the 2 sections before this that we have just done. Most of the first part will be mostly Class I, but you will have to stay vigilant maneuvering around logs, and we do have one portage around a dam that we will help eachother with. Second part of the trip will have more of the smaller shoals where we might find Class I+ or possibly several II's.
There most likely will be some downed trees like last week, but there were no total blockages; always a doorway through, or a limbo under.
I would once again love some enthusiastic, adventure seeking scouters to come along and help because after Helene you just don't know. And guys you are vital!!! We had a great trip last week. But it's open to anyone who thinks they can handle this class of water and perhaps maneuvering around or through a downed tree or so and possible debris piles along shoreline.
You must have life jacket, 7' line on bow, lunch and all your own gear for the day. Please note that the ending time is only a guess. NO INFLATABLES or SUP's please. Need hard shell kayaks w/ flotation; if you don't have a sit-on-top. Please have everything D-clipped (water bottles, lunch, etc.) to your kayak.
The weather looks iffy for most surrounding cities for the next week but this run is just north of the S.C. border and Saturday it's showing 20% most of the day with 30% after 6p.m. If things look worse by then, I will post a change so keep updated on the comments.

If anyone wants to carpool from Asheville we would meet at Discount Shoes, Brevard Rd. at 8 a.m., otherwise I will meet you at the put-in at 10a.m. where 221 crosses the Broad River with enclosed GPS coordinates. Matheny Rd is NEARBY only for helping to find where 221 crosses the Broad. There is a river access lot there. So use the GPS coordinates where they should take you to that access lot.
THERE IS A $10.00 PARKING FEE AT THE TAKE OUT BY BROAD RIVER GREENWAY, SO WE WILL DOUBLE UP AND HELP SHARE THE COST.
