NOLICHUCKY RIVER PADDLE, CLASS I

PLEASE SEE VIDEO IN COMMENT SECTION BELOW OF LAST YEARS TRIP !!!
We will be paddling appox. 10.4 miles of mostly Class I on the Nolichucky, from Hwy. 107 Kinser bridge to Joe Johnson Boat Ramp takeout, near Birds Bridge. Birds Bridge is not open yet since Helene, so we will take another route over 350 [Jones Bridge] to get to the take-out. Meeting at Sams Club and carpooling from there. Approx. 65 miles to put-in.
This is a very rural stretch with mostly farmland. Last time there were numerous animals, turtles, ducks, geese and Great Blue Herons as well as Little Green Herons. We saw 2 very small water falls and 2 medium size cascading falls; amidst several islands and smaller ledges and beautiful rock walls.
You must have PFD and whistle [state law], 7' line on bow for man- over- boards, lunch/kayak/ gear for the day. Please note that the ending time is only a guess.
NO INFLATABLES or SUPs please. Please have everything D-clipped (water bottles,lunch, etc) to your kayak.
