Study Circle: The Craft
Have you ever felt inklings of rememberings back to an olde way? A time in which we lived in fruitful harmony with each other and the land? When we followed the cycles of the seasons and the moon? The resurgence of The Craft (other names include Paganism, Neo-Pagansim, Wicca, Witchcraft, The Old Religion, etc.) is upon us. Many are beginning to see that this Way is not what it's been made out to be, and thus interest in bringing it back is growing. DETAILS The 1st Sunday of every month, from 11:30-1:30 am, a study circle will be hosted by Victoria Olmer at Asheville Raven & Crone. Together, we can go deeper into the old ways and bring them back to the present and into our personal lives if we so choose. ALL ARE WELCOME. All genders, those with no knowledge and those who have studied for generations, young and elder... SUGGESTED DONATION $5-15 (To cover room costs, herbal teas and snacks, and eventually books and other materials). If enough $, I'll bring my magical cacao elixir! MY VISION I am not a teacher. My hope is that we can come together from all walks of life and go deeper into this practice together, to understand all aspects including origins, different sects, aspects of herbalism, ceremonies, and so much more. My vision is to begin this as a book club of sorts (MANY free Wiccan books online) and then allow the group to develop it over time. If those who know something well want to teach a particular circle, then feel free! I'm excited to see how this circle cultivates over time. ANYONE can be a witch. There are many ways to practice. Some are religious, some just practice as a way of life, and some are both. If you have any inkling of interest, come join us!

What we're about

A social group founded for the purpose of giving local Pagans, Heathens, and witches a way to meet and socialize with each other. We are made up of many different traditions that meet and socialize together. Come and learn about all the wonderful things that are available to the Pagan community in Asheville.
Curious and open-minded non-Pagans welcome.
