The Joy Parade – Flash Mobs to Uplift Asheville

Ready to make friends, move your body, and spread joy around Asheville?

We’re The Joy Parade—a weekly movement party bringing people together to dance, connect, and create ripple effects of love and fun through our community.

Think:
Flash mob vibes. Feel-good music. Strangers becoming friends. Joy gone viral. No dance experience necessary. Just come ready to dance through the streets (guided by your fun, playful hosts) and spread some joy in the world.

Whether you're a born dancer or just love the idea of play, you're welcome here.

We believe joy is medicine—and when we share it, it multiplies.

*Meet by the big ball outside the Asheville Art Museum*

What to expect:

• Guided dance walk through town
• Easy-to-follow moves & joyful beats (beginner friendly!)
• Smiles from strangers
• A whole lotta fun

No experience needed. Just show up, be yourself, and dance it out.

• Wear danceable shoes
• Bring water you can carry hands free
• Bring a friend! (or 10)

$10-20 suggested donation - no one turned away for lack of funds
