Joy Parade! ~ Flash Mob, Spread Joy, Sober Fun ~
Details
Picture this:
It’s Saturday afternoon ~
The sun OUT, people are walking by with their ice cream / date night / family stroll / “I’m just trying to get my steps in” energy…
And then out of nowhere — music starts playing.
There’s a speaker.
There’s a mic.
There’s me, absolutely feral for joy, inviting strangers to dance in the street.
And suddenly people who were just walking by are smiling.
Someone’s grandma is clapping.
A little kid is fully losing their mind.
The person who “doesn’t dance” is doing a tiny shoulder shimmy.
A group of humans that were strangers moment before all dancing in sync together - remembering what it feels like to be fully ALIVE.
A group of strangers becomes a moment.
A normal night becomes a memory.
That’s the Joy Parade.
But this isn’t just about dancing.
It’s about the ripple.
Because when one human chooses joy out loud, it gives other people permission.
It inspires other people to be more ALIVE.
It uplifts a stranger,
makes their day,
reminds someone that even when the world is WILDIN' out - we get to be the joy we wish to see in the world.
You never know the ripple one smile,
one conversation,
one dance can have on someone's day - how they can go out into the world and continue to spread that joy in unimaginable ways.
Your joy can change the world.
Come be a part of the movement with us !
