FRENCH BROAD PADDLE........birding area

Details
This Section of the French Broad from 25/70 bridge [off Bluff Road, Tn.] to Rankin Bridge boat dock, outside of Newport, Tn. is an easy going Class I-I+ for beginners and those who just want to have a laid back float. A 12 mile paddle. It is known to be a birding/wildlife area. That being said, one never knows what will show up. We have seen eagles, cormorants, egrets, Great Blues, Kingfishers, Little Green Heron, White Herons, etc. in the past....one can only guess what will be there our trip.
There will be at least 7 ISLANDS to adventure around [yeah], and rock bluffs with much rural countryside. There was one walk in CAVE, but this is my first time back there since Helene, so I have to see if it still exists.
Must have PFD, whistle, 7' line on bow, lunch and all your own gear. Be kind and have air bags in your sit-in.
NO INFLATABLES or SUPs PLEASE.
Everything needs to be D-clipped (water bottles, lunch, etc) to your kayak/canoe. Meeting at Sams Club and carpooling as usual.
