Corn Hole Tournament at AMB

Hey y’all!! We’re gonna host a Corn Hole Tournament at Appalachian Mountain Brewery!
We’re gonna host a double elimination tournament! AMB has four cornhole board sets, and several of us have more. We’re going to run eight games at a time if needed. Come out and let’s have some fun, and support a great local business!

Grab your partner and come out and play! If you do not have a partner, you can partner with someone at the event. Do not let not having a partner stop you from coming out for this event.

Be there at 5:00 to register teams of two, or to find a partner at the event. Registration closes at 5:45.

This is gonna be fun!!

The object of cornhole is to reach exactly 21 points first. Teams score points by tossing bags onto the board (1 point) or through the hole (3 points). Play alternates until all 8 bags are tossed, and scores cancel each other out at the end of each round (cancellation scoring).Setup &

GameplayDistance: Place boards 27 feet apart (measured from the front edge to the front edge). For a casual backyard game, you can adjust this distance based on player ability.

Teams: Played with 2 players (Singles) or 4 players (Doubles). In doubles, teammates stand directly across from each other at opposite boards.

Turns: Players throw underhand and must stay behind the foul line (the front edge of the board). Players alternate turns throwing one bag at a time until all 8 bags have been tossed.

Scoring: in the hole: 3 points. On the board: 1 point. Foul bag: 0 points (e.g., if a bag hits the ground first or if a player steps on or crosses the foul line).Points are calculated using cancellation scoring.

The team with the higher score in the round subtracts the lower team's score to get the net points for that round. For example, if Team A scores 5 points and Team B scores 3 points, Team A is awarded 2 points for that frame.
