This Friday, the Talent Historical Society brings a powerful community drama to life: “John Beeson’s Plea for America.”
Though not an Ashland Symposia event, it speaks directly to the heart of what we care about. Places finding the courage to tell their own stories, even when those stories are difficult. This play revisits early days in Talent, facing shadows of the past to imagine a better future.
It is inspiring to see local residents take the stage to embody history not as nostalgia but as an act of growth. Like the work we do together, it is a kind of collective introspection: remembering, reckoning, and renewing.
