SMALL TALK (Taiwan, 2016) special Amsterdam Pride screening

CinemAsia Film and Volkshotel celebrate Amsterdam Pride on July 29th with a special screening of Huang Hui-chen’s award-winning documentary Small Talk. This deeply layered Taiwanese film won the Teddy Award for ‘Best Documentary’ at the 67th Berlinale in 2017. Documentary 'Small Talk' Director Huang Hui-chen knows her mother surprisingly badly and uses her position as a filmmaker to better understand her. Confronted with incomprehension, frustration and resentment, Huang tries to find out why her lesbian mother has ever been married and has had children and then hardly ever to look at them.
