# Ask a Christian a Question

Bring your questions. Nothing is off-limits.
Have you ever had a question about Christianity that you wanted to ask—but weren’t sure where or how to ask it?

Ask a Christian a Question is an open, discussion-based gathering where skeptics, seekers, Christians, former Christians, and anyone who is simply curious can ask honest questions about Christianity, God, the Bible, faith, life, and the world around us.

Each gathering begins with a brief 5–10 minute discussion of one featured question. It might be something like:
Does God actually exist?
Why does God allow suffering?
Can we trust the Bible?
Has science made God unnecessary?
Why did Jesus have to die?
Why does Christianity have rules about sex?
Would a loving God really send someone to hell?

The goal of the opening discussion is not to give an exhaustive answer, but to introduce the question, explain how Christianity approaches it, and give us something to think about together.

After that, the floor is open.
Bring whatever questions you have.
They can be theological, philosophical, ethical, cultural, historical, scientific, practical, or personal. You can ask about the Bible, Jesus, other religions, suffering, morality, sexuality, science, heaven and hell, prayer, the church, difficult Bible passages—or simply something about Christianity that has never made sense to you.
No prior knowledge of Christianity is assumed, and you do not need to be a Christian to participate. In fact, disagreement is welcome.

The conversations are facilitated by Pastor Israel Ledee, who will respond from a Christian worldview while welcoming honest inquiry, thoughtful challenges, follow-up questions, and respectful disagreement. Christianity makes claims about what is ultimately true, and this gathering provides a relaxed environment where those claims can be questioned, examined, challenged, and discussed openly.

This isn't a lecture, sermon, or debate competition. It's a conversation.

You can participate as much or as little as you would like.

Ask a question, challenge an answer, offer a different perspective, or simply grab a cup of coffee and listen.

### Three simple expectations guide our conversations:

Respect. Listen. Learn.
Bring your questions. Bring your doubts. Bring your curiosity.

Ask a Christian a Question is facilitated by Pastor Israel Ledee and sponsored by Immanuel Christian Reformed Church.
