Welcome! This group is a regional initiative for software developers, engineers, and tech enthusiasts who work with PHP and the Laravel ecosystem. While our physical home is in Asker, we aim to create a high-quality technical space for everyone living or working along the corridor between Oslo, Bærum, and Drammen.
What we are about:
We focus on the "Artisan" approach to coding: writing clean, maintainable, and powerful web applications. Whether you are deep into the TALL stack (Tailwind, Alpine, Laravel, Livewire), interested in DevOps with Forge and Vapor, or just curious about modern PHP 8.5+, you belong here.
Why we exist:
Regional Knowledge: Sharing real-world experiences from Norwegian projects across the Oslo-Drammen area.
Community Growth: Supporting junior and senior developers alike through high-quality talks and networking.
A Better Balance: Building a professional tech hub right here in Asker, making it easier to connect for those who want a shorter commute and a more focused local community.
What to expect:
Regular meetups with technical presentations, "show and tell" sessions for side projects, and plenty of time for socializing with fellow developers over pizza and drinks. Our location is chosen for its proximity to the Asker train station, making it a quick 10-20 minute hop for our friends in both Drammen and Oslo.
Note: This is a community-run group. We are inclusive, tech-focused, and open to all skill levels. Whether you are a local or visiting from across the region, you are welcome at the table.

Artisan Kickoff: The State of Laravel in 2026
Asker kulturhus, Strøket 15A, Asker, NOJoin us for the inaugural meetup of the Asker & Bærum Artisans! We finally have a home for our first event! We’ll be gathering at Bjørn Carlsen-rommet (Asker Kulturhus, Strøket 15A, Asker) to dive straight into the biggest news of the year: the release of Laravel 13, the evolving ecosystem, and the power of PHP 8.5.
Whether you've already upgraded your production apps or you're just curious about what's new, this is the perfect chance to get up to speed and meet your local dev neighbors.
