Open Hearth: Online Music Stage for Neurodivergent Musicians

Join us for the launch of Open Hearth, a free online open-mic community created for neurodivergent and resource-constrained musicians.

Open Hearth is a different kind of music stage: no harsh comments, no rankings, no follower counts, and no judging. Just a low-sensory, welcoming space where musicians can share their music and people can genuinely listen and enjoy.

Our first session will be a demo and Q&A where we’ll introduce Open Hearth, learn about musicians’ sensory needs and accommodations, and invite Founding Musicians to help shape this new community.

Following the launch, weekly performances will be hosted through the Open Hearth app, where musicians can perform completely free of charge.

Open Hearth is inviting Founding Musicians to help launch this community. It's not building another competition - it's a room where people genuinely listen.

Friends, family, and loved ones are also welcome to join as audience members. No registration is required for the audience.

About Arjan Walia
Arjan is the founder of Open Hearth. A high school junior and longtime pianist, he started playing piano at age 6 and began coding in middle school. He recently completed research at UC San Diego exploring the intersection of music, math, and engineering.
His passion for accessible music technology began after seeing his grandmother unable to play due to age. He developed assistive technology to help disabled pianists record music independently, and continued that mission through Open Hearth.
