Life can be challenging and feel good antidotes are important! So welcome to the online book club focussing on books that are positive, fun, and optimistic.
WHAT: This book club is about reading for enjoyment and positivity and for sharing with like minded people. If you haven’t read the book or don’t want to, that's ok! This book club is open to you and our discussions are wide-ranging so come along.
THIS MONTH:
We will be discussing 44 Scotland Street by Alexander McCall Smith, a gently satirical, novels featuring a cast of colourful characters.
The books we have selected for the rest of the year are as follows:
July: Caught in the Act by Shane Jenek
August: Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Torzs
September: Maps of Our Spectacular Bodies by Maddie Mortimer
October: Shinrin-Yoku: The Art and Science of Forest Bathing by Dr Qing Li
November: Growing in to Autism by Sandra Thom-Jones
December: The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin
WHEN: the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm
WHERE: Online using Zoom. Cameras are optional.
WHO: we are an inclusive bunch; neuro, gender, and culturally diverse
HOUSEKEEPING: I've limited the number of places to promote good discussion and easier facilitation. As such, please only RSVP if you will be attending. IF YOU CAN NO LONGER ATTEND, please change your RSVP as soon as possible to allow someone else to attend instead.
