Glass art can be found in a multitude of forms, from fused to stained to jewelry to blown. We're going to cover it all!

We want to try new things and master old tricks, and we want to inspire you to do the same!

  • 3-Week Stained Glass Course

    3-Week Stained Glass Course

    The Glass Bar, 60 Dedham Ave, Needham, MA, US

    Online registration is required to attend this event. Please register your spot here.

    **Sessions will meet for three consecutive weeks at the same time/day.**

    What You’ll Learn:
    * Session 1: Learn essential glass cutting techniques and begin cutting your chosen pattern.
    * Session 2: Complete any remaining glass cutting and move on to the copper foiling process. If you don’t finish foiling in class, you’ll take your pieces home to complete before the final session.
    * Session 3: Master soldering techniques to assemble and complete your stained glass piece.
    Project Choices: Students will choose from a pre-approved selection of patterns and color palettes.

    Once you’ve completed the beginner series, you can continue refining your skills. Returning students enjoy more flexibility in selecting their own projects and materials as they build on their knowledge.

    This course is $200 per person, with all materials included. For those who’d like a polished final touch, a finishing service—including framing and polishing—is available for an additional $25 fee.

    Returning Students: $150 (materials purchased separately.)

    Open Studio: After completing 2-4 sessions and demonstrating sufficient skill, students can graduate to open studio time, where you’ll have access to the space to work on independent projects with guidance as needed.

    All materials are provided for new students. Returning students will purchase materials separately to continue their artistic journey.

    Our Pocket Hearts Fusing Class is here—and it’s as sweet (and satisfying) as it sounds. Perfect for beginners and creative spirits of all skill levels, this hands-on workshop introduces you to the magic of glass fusing while you design a set of keepsake hearts made to carry, gift, and treasure.
    In this 1.5-hour class, each student will receive a heart mold to fill and create twelve beautiful fused glass pocket hearts. You’ll learn the fundamentals of glass fusing, including how to safely cut and shape glass (straight lines and gentle curves), and how to design with a colorful mix of materials like sheet glass, frit, stringers, and dots.
    Experiment with layering and placement to build gorgeous color, texture, and sparkle—then we’ll fire your pieces in our kiln so your finished hearts come out smooth, vibrant, and ready to share.

    This Introduction to Stained Glass Class is your special opportunity to learn how to create a beautiful stained glass panel in one night!

    If you’ve found this event, something has inspired you to take a Stained Glass Class in the past. Yet, the commitment involved at many other glass studios may have stopped you.

    That is why The Glass Bar is here for you!

    You might believe you have no creativity, I assure you, you are incorrect. There is a spark inside of you that has encouraged you to search for a stained glass class. That is your inner artist dying to break out. We pride ourselves on aiding you through the process of unleashing your creativity.

    Before class, you will select your color of glass & geode. Upon arriving, you will then embark on your journey into the magical world of glass art creation. Our friendly instructors will work with you until you are confident working on your own. We will guide you through the traditional techniques of creating a stained glass panel. In this class, you will learn how to copper foil, solder, frame and finish your piece.

    You will love the results and amazed at what you can create at The Glass Bar.

    Glass fusing is the art of joining separate pieces of glass using high heat in a kiln — and it’s one of the fastest-growing art mediums today! With just a few simple techniques, you can create functional, colorful works of art. It’s easy to learn, fun to explore, and the creative possibilities are endless.
    In our newly revamped 3-hour Glass Fusing 101 class, you’ll get a deep dive into glass fusing basics, kiln working, and even the fascinating history of glass. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with glass cutting, shaping, and designing — building the skills you need to bring your ideas to life.
    Improved Project Options:
    You’ll still have our classic draped bowl designs, but now you can also choose from exciting new projects, including:
    A sushi plate set
    A set of four coasters
    A standing wave plate
    Owner and instructor Jordan, who has been passionately working with glass since 2011, has designed this beginner-friendly workshop to ensure you feel confident and inspired from start to finish — no experience required!
