Glass art can be found in a multitude of forms, from fused to stained to jewelry to blown. We're going to cover it all!
We want to try new things and master old tricks, and we want to inspire you to do the same!

3-Week Stained Glass Course
The Glass Bar, 60 Dedham Ave, Needham, MA, USOnline registration is required to attend this event. Please register your spot here.
**Sessions will meet for three consecutive weeks at the same time/day.**
What You’ll Learn:
* Session 1: Learn essential glass cutting techniques and begin cutting your chosen pattern.
* Session 2: Complete any remaining glass cutting and move on to the copper foiling process. If you don’t finish foiling in class, you’ll take your pieces home to complete before the final session.
* Session 3: Master soldering techniques to assemble and complete your stained glass piece.
Project Choices: Students will choose from a pre-approved selection of patterns and color palettes.
Once you’ve completed the beginner series, you can continue refining your skills. Returning students enjoy more flexibility in selecting their own projects and materials as they build on their knowledge.
This course is $200 per person, with all materials included. For those who’d like a polished final touch, a finishing service—including framing and polishing—is available for an additional $25 fee.
Returning Students: $150 (materials purchased separately.)
Open Studio: After completing 2-4 sessions and demonstrating sufficient skill, students can graduate to open studio time, where you’ll have access to the space to work on independent projects with guidance as needed.
All materials are provided for new students. Returning students will purchase materials separately to continue their artistic journey.
No prior experience necessary—just bring your passion and creativity!

What Is Dichroic Glass?
The word "dichroic" comes from the greek word, "dichroma" meaning two or more colors. This presents when holding a piece of finished dichroic glass. If you tilt the piece a new flash of color presents itself!

Dive into the dazzling world of dichroic glass in this in-depth, hands-on workshop! This class is perfect for those looking to expand their glass fusing skills while exploring the brilliance of dichroic glass.
What You’ll Learn:

Advanced glass-cutting techniques for working with small, intricate pieces

The history and science of dichroic glass, from its origins to modern applications in fused glass art

Proper kiln-firing methods for achieving stunning results
By the end of the class, you'll craft a gorgeous matching jewelry set, including a necklace and earrings, showcasing the vibrant, reflective beauty of dichroic glass. No prior experience is required—just bring your creativity!
Learned techniques include cutting straight lines, curved lines, and circles, basic knowledge in dichroic glass, and designing techniques. You will also gain insight into kiln working. Class includes instruction, use of tools, and materials. The Glass Bar is the ONLY Glass studio that teaches these Dichroic Glass techniques!

- *This activity has a minimum number of guests required for it to run.* While unlikely, it is possible that it will not reach the minimum. In that case, you will be notified that it has been canceled and provided the option to reschedule for the next available class.
- We are sorry, but we cannot offer refunds.
- All fused glass projects must fire in the kiln overnight and may take up to two weeks for completion before being available for pick up. *We are not responsible for projects after 90 days.*
- A link to our studio waiver is provided in your confirmation email. Waiver must be completed to attend the class.

Winter Wonderland Glass Fusing Intro Class

Join us for this super fun seasonal class, creating a Twinkling Tree. Only offered for Nov-Feb!
Students will learn the basics of glass fusing including glass cutting, grinding, and designing of 2-dimensional pieces.
We'll have fun experimenting with different shapes, textures, and mediums of glass to inspire our creations.
Pieces will be ready for pick up after firing (~2 weeks).
Create a 6in tree, we will provide the wooden base.
Great for beginners. Age 10+
