Low Key Bass Pro Shop Walk

This is a casual, low-pressure meetup for people training or aspiring to train service or therapy dogs or anyone working toward a well-behaved dog in public. One of the hardest skills to practice is calm, polite on-leash interactions, so we’ll walk together in a dog-friendly public space (Bass Pro Shops), occasionally passing one another to practice focus.

If two handlers agree, they may pause so dogs can practice sitting calmly at their handler’s side while the handlers briefly say hello. All interactions are optional and consent-based.

Dogs should be able to handle a public store without excessive barking, growling, or bathroom accidents. Some pulling, distraction, or vocalizing is expected during training. Dogs must be leashed and under handler control.

This is a peer-led meetup, not a training class or professional instruction. Training levels will vary. Limited to 4–5 handlers to keep things calm, and leaving early is always okay.
