Ayan Hirsi Ali: Muslim to Atheist to Christian - God Delusion or God Confusion?

When it comes to conversion between Atheism and the Abrahamic religions, it is usually one way traffic. At some point in their lives, some people see through the bogus religious beliefs, with which they have been indoctrinated since childhood, and they take the courageous and sometimes dangerous step from religion to atheism. This process is so commonplace that, unless a celebrity is involved, it is not considered newsworthy. However, from time to time, somebody goes the other way, from atheism to religion, as in the case of celebrity atheist Ayan Hirsi Ali.

What is the explanation for this puzzling switch from enlightenment to endarkenment? Is it just a numbers game, some will, some won't, so what, next.
