This event is a wonderful opportunity to commemorate the legacy of the honorable Marcus Moziah Garvey and engage in thought-provoking discussions. The lecture will be delivered by Prof Gus John along the theme of "Reparing and building Africa at home and abroad.

Professor Gus John is a renowned academic, writer, campaigner, and consultant in the fields of education, social policy, and racial equality. Born in Grenada in 1945, he moved to the UK in the 1960s and became a leading voice on issues of race, education, and social justice. He played a pivotal role in challenging racial discrimination in British schools and advocating for inclusive education policies. His work in the 1970s-80s highlighted the underachievement of Black Caribbean students and pushed for systemic reform.
