Our Humanity Is Linked: Why a Black Humanist Says Palestinian Lives Matter
Details
As Black humanists, we know what it means to resist dehumanisation and to demand justice against systems of power that deny people their freedom and dignity. In standing with Palestinians, we affirm that our moral vision doesn’t stop at borders — it extends to every human being whose rights are denied.
This event is led by Akua Rugg. Together, we explore the deep connections between struggles for liberation — from the civil rights and anti-apartheid movements to today’s calls for justice in Palestine.
Together, we’ll ask:
What does solidarity look like for humanists?
How do our shared values of reason, empathy, and equality compel us to act?
And what can the Black experience teach us about global freedom movements?
🗓️ Date: Saturday, 29th November 2025 at 3pm. Please be prompt

Join us as we affirm one simple truth:
When one people’s humanity is denied, all our humanity is diminished.
