**Party Pace = Chill Pace • Great Vibes • No Expectations**
**Welcome!** This event is for everyone who wants to get outside and have fun, whether you've run before or not. We’ll take it nice and slow, chat a bit, stretch, and go around the track at an easy pace, walking encouraged.
**TIME -** Friday mornings at 7:30AM
**LOCATION -** Astoria Park between the track and the bathrooms.

**WHAT MAKES THIS “RUN” DIFFERENT**

* **This is not a run with a given distance.** The track is a great equalizer. We can all go at our own speed and still end up together!
* **We want to support you.** While this is not a fitness program, we hope this event can be a part of whatever journey you’re on, whether that is health, running a race, or something else. We want to provide a supportive community.
* **Running is not required.** If you want to walk and talk, come join us. Just getting out and meeting up is the fun part.

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

* **Socializing** \- Gather in front of the track and say hello as folks arrive\.
* **Guided stretch (Optional)** \- Join the host for 15 minutes of easy dynamic stretching\.
* **Start around the track** \- Around 7:45 we'll step onto the track for a half\-loop of walking together before breaking off into your own thing\. Keep walking\, jog with someone you just met\, or try some walk / run intervals\.
* **More socializing** \- After 30 minutes\, the host will post up in the corner of the track where the group can meet and chat before dispersing to start our day\.

**IMPORTANT NOTES**

* **We would love feedback** \- please reach out to organizers@astoriarunners\.com if you see an opportunity for us to be more welcoming\.
* **Come late and/or leave early** \- just shout out to the host to let them know\.
* Everyone is welcome, but if you are an advanced runner looking to do 7 minute miles, consider checking out our Monday interval runs.
* Dress according to the weather and stay hydrated.
* We appreciate RSVPs so that everyone knows who to expect when they sign up. If you cannot attend, please update your RSVP.

Running is fun and rewarding, but not without risk. By attending a run, you accept responsibility for your actions, and discharge Astoria Runners of any liability for any injury that may occur.
