Kathy Allan: Dial In The Year

This meeting will be an HYBRID event. Both in person at Nova University, Davie, FL and online zoom. NOTE: You must register at astrologyfla.com to attend.

Dial in the Year
Solar returns are a bellweather for the coming year. In the workshop we’ll examine a variety of techniques to interpret returns. We’ll see how to add midpoints, use the 45° graphic ephemeris to see hits to the return, and how to progress the solar return Moon. We’ll combine the solar return with the natal and directed chart to determine which natal planets are activated in both the 360° chart and 90° dial, and what this means. Solar returns can also be read using traditional horary. We’ll see how fixed stars, planetary dignity, reception, Arabic parts, and antiscia add to the interpretation. By combining Cosmobiology with horary techniques, we can glean a good sense of what to expect in a coming year.

BIO
Kathy Allan is a professional astrologer certified by the AFA in 2010 and currently serves on the AFA board. She has been working with astrology for over twenty years, taught astrology classes at all levels, lectured nationally, and has written for The Mountain Astrologer. She is the author of Working With Midpoints, and When Worlds Collide: Another Look at the Lunar Nodes. She has a PhD in Molecular Toxicology and did postdoctoral research in Infectious Immunology. Originally from Toronto, this long-time resident of Kenya and South Florida, now lives in New Mexico.

There are also pay stations available and an option to use the PayByPhone app if you prefer to pay the hourly rate on-site ($1/hr).

In-Person Lunch Option
For in-person attendees, we offer an option for [catered lunch](CATERED LUNCH) in the room for $15. This will enable us to sit together and enjoy conversation while also being available to start on time for the online participants.

If you would like to participate in lunch, but have an allergy we should be aware of, please let us know. The catering company would be happy to work with us to make sure the event is a success for everyone.
