BIOGRAPHY INFO:
Dorian Greenbaum lives in New England, and has practiced and taught astrology since 1992. In 2001, she did a translation of Paulus Alexandrinus, Introduction to Astrology and Olympiodorus’s Commentary on it, published by Rob Hand’s ARHAT. In 2005 she published Temperament: Astrology’s Forgotten Key. That fall, she enrolled at the Warburg Institute, University of London, where she received her Ph.D. in 2009, writing on The Daimon in Hellenistic Astrology: Origins and Influence, published in 2015. She has published numerous academic articles on astrology for books and journals.
Dorian has been teaching MA students at the Sophia Centre, University of Wales Trinity Saint David for fifteen years. As a historian of astrology, she specializes in astrology of the Mediterranean region from the Ptolemaic period to Late Antiquity, but she also writes on topics in medieval astrology and edited the special issue of the journal Culture and Cosmos entitled “Kepler’s Astrology.”
