The Nakshatras: The Lunar Mansions of Vedic Astrology June 17th

This workshop will explore the deeper meanings of the twenty-seven nakshatras of the ancient Vedic zodiac. Nakshatra means, “that which does not decay” reflecting the primordial nature of the lunar mansions that further define the rashi or sign constellations. The practical and symbolic implications of the nakshatras are clearly embedded in many of the key elements of jyotish. The lecture will include a slide presentation to reveal the predictive techniques, myths,deities and powerful symbols of the lunar mansions and their relevance to the modern world.

This interactive workshop, Dr, Harness will explore the use of the nakshatras in Electional Astrology (Muhurtha), Tara Bala, and Relationship Compatibility. We will also examine the Vedic charts of workshop participants to demonstrate the application of the nakshatra symbolic meanings in natal chart analysis. Please send Dr. Harness your birth data in advance so each participant will have their Vedic natal chart for the workshop.A unique feature of the Vedic Astrology is the emphasis on the planetary periods (dasha/bhukti cycles) which can clearly reflect future trends and develpmental stages of one's life. Dennis M. Harness, Ph.D. is a professional vedic astrologer and lecturer who received his doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California.

For more than twenty years, Dennis has studied both Eastern and Western astrological techniques with some of the world's most respected astrologers.
