On the 9th June (my time) Jupiter moves into Cancer. To my mind, that makes it Good News Week. Jupiter is the planet that brings with it a positive mindset, the kind of belief that things will turn out well, that cause things to turn out well. Because we see the good, we experience the good. Jupiter is here to remind us that we don’t just learn through pain and suffering. We also learn and grow through experiences of love and joy. Indeed, it is when we view our experiences through the filter of love, our thoughts and ideas about them, blended with he heart, produce true wisdom.
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, where the intuitive Big Picture wisdom of Jupiter combines with the intuitive nurturing love of Cancer. Love is the highest motivating force of life. Cancer shows how genuine love and care causes us to notice even the minutia
The idea that exaltations symbolize the ideal expression of a planet's function for spiritual growth and the optimum use of that planet's energy for creative purposes makes a lot of sense to me. And Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer shows that Jupiter is expressed best if combined with empathy and consideration for others. Jupiterian people need to cultivate "down-home" abilities to communicate with others on an emotional level.
