Welcome to Aries: the initiator of the zodiac wheel. Initiator of the seasons in the Northern Hemisphere tradition.
In this 2 hr Workshop we will explore Aries from both a personality and spiritual perspective
Aries as Cardinal Fire and initiator of the zodiac
· An Exploration of myth and folktales that relate to Mars and Mercury.
· Mars – the story of Jason and the Golden Fleece
· Mercury – as esoteric ruler of Aries – Hermes as psychopomp
· Hercules Tales: The spiritual developmental task of Aries
· Aries Sun. Moon Ascendant. Mercury, Venus and Mars
· Planet Earth in Aries.

IMAGINE if we used the planet Earth as a point in our natal charts. This point would always be opposite the Sun in perfect balance.
· The Sun is the active aspect of Self that seeks to discover and express our own unique identity.
· The Earth is the receptive aspect. Through receiving the Divine Will of the Sun, the Earth then flowers, creates, manifests the Soul’s plan.
Just as we have both right brain and left brain thinking, and both are needed, so do we need our relationship with both the Sun and the Earth.
We have, culturally, centuries of emphasis on the Solar journey. Tapping into the Earth in our charts may provide a small doorway into returning to more indigenous relationships with our Mother Earth, our non-human kin, and ways of knowing through just being.
If we see the Sun as God the Father, the aspect of Will, then we can see the Earth as God the Mother, the aspect of the heart.
So how do we find the planet Earth in such a fiery outgoing sign as Aries? Perhaps we can start by reflecting on sacred fire, the stillness of the eternal flame. Lets explore this and more when, we look at Aries as having its own way of beingness.
