Now is the time to unite the Soul and the World. Now is the time to see the sunlight dancing as one with the shadows.
I love this Rumi quote. It encapsulates our inner longing to infuse the material side of our existence with the Higher Love, Wisdom, and Intuitive Understandings of our Soul.
Of all the help we may receive upon the way, Astrology is one of the most valuable, shining the light of understanding on our quest to know ourselves as Spiritual Beings having an earthly experience. Our quest has always been so: to know ourselves as an earthly personality in service to, and as an expression of, our greater Self, our Soul.
But now there is another layer, another point of growth we feel with a sense of urgency. Yes, we are individuals, wounded, gifted, vulnerable, strong. We are capable of self-interest, catering to our fears, our longings to fill that empty bucket with a hole in it: but equally capable of acts of great selflessness, wisdom, compassion, and sacrifice for the love of other beings.
With the help of astrology and our own inner bravery, we may learn to stand with our feet on the ground and our arms to heaven, in the centre of our own shadow and light. And this is all necessary. But right now, we are learning how to take this even further. We are learning how to be community: how to embrace our unique individuality whilst discovering our connectedness in mind, heart, and soul. Right now, we stand in this special place at the end of our civilization as we have known it. We all, deep within our hearts, know that we must create a better world, a more loving, equal, and inclusive world. Many of us are living with some form of grief, uncertainty, or hope for a better future. And it is bigger than just our personal lives (though it may be manifesting there as well). We truly are living in an end time. What will Pluto in Aquarius bring? What will our own hearts and Souls manifest? To create a different world, we must tell a different story. Firstly, become aware of the stories we are living with. How much has advertising and materialist culture inhabited our brains and set our priorities? How do we step out of the ingrained habits we live by? For me, Mother Earth has whispered to me in the night and the soft light of morning that our healing, planetary healing, requires us to rediscover our deep shamanic connection to the Earth itself. It is rebalance to a more grounded, deeper and more loving reality. Astrology, as part of our story telling, also needs to reconnect with the earth. This is going to become a greater focus with the Astrology Community as we walk on the path together.
A new earth, a better society. It is a task that seems more enormous that we can imagine. But like all tasks, one step at a time. The Astrology Collective, our community, is my first step. In our community we value and support your journey, each of you, as well as the collective. Well folks, it is finally here. Though we have all been feeling its shift to Gemini Air energy for some time. No doubt that shift will now amp up and we may feel that some areas of life are moving at a break-neck speed. Uranus, the sky god, is in home territory in Gemini. There are changes already begun, changes coming that we have long anticipated, and changes that we presently have no clue about. All three scenarios entwining will create our new road forward. Expect the unexpected is a catch-phrase with Uranus. And, like me, you may be feeling some trepidation about the future.
So maybe now is also the time to remember just how much agency we do have in many small ways that just might add up to big ways.
As above, so below and as without, so within. AI is the outer manifestation of the power of human intelligence to create new life and new ways of being.
Understanding the power of our own thoughts is the inner way to understanding the potential for change for each of us.
Our thoughts create our reality. But what are we really thinking, where have our thoughts originated from, what is their agenda, purpose or trajectory? It feels exhausting just thinking about it. Uranus is here to facilitate our knowing that arrives via our higher intuition rather than attempting to analyse every detail.
And for the detail, look to Saturn. Saturn is the doorkeeper between the personality self and the soul self. It is only by developing, laboriously, step by step, understanding and getting the detail right, that we come to integrate our personalities, body, brain and emotions. Integration or ‘individuation’ as the Jungian terminology, means to know oneself ‘well-enough’ to be self-accepting that you are ‘good-enough’: to understand both your own flawed humanness and your deep humanity. We don’t have to be perfect because that is not the human way. But we do have to learn enough about ourselves to develop both humility and pride in ourselves for all the hard work we have done. We know well enough our strengths and weaknesses and that we still have blind spots that life may or may not reveal to us along the way. We come to know our own depths but also our own heights. We know what we aspire to in a way that is more than just an idea but is a deeply held sense of purpose that links us into society as a whole. We become aspirants on the Path to greater understanding and a better life for everyone.
Through Saturn we become spiritually responsible individuals.
And then we are ready to hear the higher intuitive messages that Uranus brings.
Uranus before we have crossed Saturn’s threshold, can bring wilful individuals who rebel for the sake of it, for fun. They love to be quirky and individualistic (reflecting Leo as the opposite sign to Aquarius perhaps). This in itself is a necessary reminder for society as a whole. A nudge that change is possible and maybe even desirable. But it hasn’t yet aligned itself to a greater purpose and is therefore likely to be ego-driven and led astray by blind projection. I think we can expect quite a bit of this collectively to be influencing general society.
But Uranus, when you have stepped through Saturn’s door, is an emissary to the Higher energy and higher beings that exist in other realms and in the Stars. Right now we are all being invited to listen to those messages that will lead to ways of creating positive change that will have a real, beneficial impact on the lives of others as well as yourself. We are invited to listen to our own higher intuition, to trust our gut senses and step onto this new path. Or to step forward in new ways. Maybe, like me, you are a very timid person and you have to overcome this in order to take your spiritual path. We will all be asked to take courage, deal with our inner fears and step forward.
And of course this is not just about Uranus moving into Gemini but that Uranus is being supported by, and is supporting, Pluto into Aquarius and Saturn/Neptune in Aries.
For this meet up we will look at this configuration from the viewpoint of where Uranus is in our chart, What is Uranus asking of us specifically? What we may still need to work on (Saturn) to ground our spiritual path (Neptune) and what deep healing needs to take place for us in order to work collectively (Pluto)
Of course, way more than a Meet Up can cover. But we can at least nut out some of it and Begin. 😊
Oh, and lets not forget that Venus is the esoteric ruler of Gemini. Another clue. The heart knows.
